Hi friend, I’m Gretchen. I write books and Bible studies to help women know Jesus, love his Word, and live faithfully in the ordinary places of life.

My Story

If you traced my story and connected the dots from where I’ve been and what I’ve done, you’d never guess I’d end up where I am today. My resume includes a hodgepodge of ventures: personal styling, artist, ministry in the local church, and writing—always writing and creating for Jesus.

In 2013, as a newlywed with little money and big dreams, I began an Etsy shop called Life Lived Beautifully, where I dabbled in all of the above. God transformed the vision for this shop, and a year later, I began selling a Bible study journal called The Give Me Jesus Journal. Life Lived Beautifully grew into an online ministry called Well-Watered Women, and ever since, I’ve spent my days writing Bible studies and dreaming up new tools to help women study God’s Word!

On any given day, you can find me brainstorming new ideas between laundry and meal prep with a toddler perched on my hip. God has graciously allowed me to write several books, including The Well-Watered Woman: Rooted in Truth, Growing in Grace, Flourishing in Faith, The Well-Watered Life Journal, and Word before World: 100 Devotions to Put Jesus First. My new 6-week Bible study, Redefined: Defining Identity Through the Mirror of God’s Word, releases January 12, 2027! For updates, follow me on Instagram or read my work.
